This is the where movement comes into play. In the conscious movement brand.
A human at its full capacity as well as being knowledgable, conscious and mentally strong is able to move impeccably.
Has agility, balance, flexibility, strength, speed, stamina, co-ordination and quick reaction times.
The body and the mind work synergistically not separate.
I’ve learnt now through many different fitness techniques that it is movement that I am passionate about.
I have been in awe of it from a young age. Seeing all kinds of movement. Flipping, walking on your hands, doing the splits, fluid punches and kicks.
Expression of the human body.
It goes beyond styles of training. Be it the bars, calisthenics, acrobatics, yoga, martial arts, dance. Each has its own merits but won’t give you the whole story.
I want to explore as much as possible with it in as many ways as I can and you should too.
People aren’t as interested in movement as they should be. It’s a widely disregarded thing in todays society. You go to work, you come back, you might eat somewhat healthily but you’ll put movement behind you as long as you can do the basic functions.
But can you function basically really?
Can you do a proper squat?
Can you touch the ground without bending your back?
Can you lift something properly? can you climb?
It isn’t this first world concept of moving to brush your teeth or walk to your car. This is not proper movement. This is sheltered movement.
Sheltered by all your comforts.
We are not designed to move just a few times a week. We’re designed for physical action daily. It is what the human body needs. A few gym sessions a week and back to your couch. This isn’t enough.
The less you move the less you will be able to move.
You will pay a price mentally and physically.
It is a lifelong process to become a better mover and one that involves so much. You might be young and able now but lose it and you’ll give anything to get a fraction of what you had.
