There have been times in my life where I’ve met women that have this radiant feminine energy that was so attractive. It wasn’t about their looks, age or anything like that. It was their nature.
When my masculine essence comes into contact with this it felt like we complemented each other perfectly. The Ying and Yang coming together leading to wholeness. They would tell me how safe and free it felt and I would feel energised and powerful as if I could do anything.
I’ve come across many women in the personal development space and the clients that I have worked with that have suppressed their feminine essence and put on a masculine mask to meet the expectations of society.
They aren’t fully fulfilled however and their intimate life just isn’t working as they would like it to. They may crave a masculine man but attraction only happens when opposite poles meet.
Note that your core energy isn’t necessarily based on gender but 80% of women will have a feminine core and the same number of men will have a masculine one.
The reason for this is that western society feminine energy has been diminished and seen as weak which it isn’t. A woman tapped in like this commands respect. There’s nothing wrong with honouring your masculine side but there’s so much of your power left out if that’s all your embodying.
The tools below can be used for both men and women to tap into their feminine.
1. Move your body
The feminine flows and when you move your body you access this energy. It will also allow you to access your emotions and express yourself fully.
Walk, stretch, do yoga or find some privacy and allow yourself to dance as wildly and sensually as you’d like.
Feminine energy is receptive. This means accepting gifts graciously, appreciating compliments and allowing yourself to be supported.
Let a man lead you; wouldn’t it be nice if you didn’t have to make all the decisions and he took the initiative. This shows strength in the form of vulnerability and both of you will be happier as it appeals to your feminine core and his masculine one.
3. Indulge Your Senses
Connect with the physical pleasures of life. Eat chocolate, have a delicious meal, get a massage, go shopping feeling all the soft fabrics and have more orgasms. Honour your body and know that you deserve it.
This will increase your self-esteem and get you out of your head and back into your senses.
4. Take Off Your Pants
Don’t be afraid to tell your energy flow from all areas. Pants and tight jeans can be restrictive.
Take one day a week where you don’t wear any or wear something loose like a dress or a skirt. Check in on how you feel.
Do you feel more feminine? Do you find it easier to move through life? Do you feel free?
5. Be Present
The masculine side of you is drawn to the future. Planning and using logic to get there.
Be present to the emotions and sensations your feeling right now. This is where the juice of life comes from. Meditate, eat mindfully or do something that brings you joy like salsa dancing.
6. Have Female Only Time
This is a great way to restore your feminine energy. It’s a mistake when a woman leaves her girlfriends completely for a man. You can flow together in alignment with your thoughts, actions and feelings which is empowering.
It also gives you insight in seeing what being feminine looks like and you can pass on your unique wisdom to each other.
7. Be playful
If you’re always serious that means your out of touch with your feminine side. Make more jokes, laugh, tease. That vibrancy is attractive and keeps you youthful!
Enjoy things you find beautiful. Give your space pictures, colours and fabrics that do just that; take pride in it. Maybe you’ve been caught up at work and haven’t checked in on your wardrobe for a while. You’ll feel refreshed and energised buying something special you like.
Women are natural creators. They create life. Create art, a poem, write a song, make a delicious meal or anything that feels creative to you. It’s about creating for the sake of it; it doesn’t have to be ‘good’.
10. Create a sacred space
Love regenerates the feminine energy.
You should have a space in your home which anchors this for you. A space for quieting your mind, being present, connecting with the divine, expressing your creativity and setting intentions.
Have daily practices like lighting incenses, salt baths, lighting candles, listening to some relaxed music, meditating or journaling.
It makes self care a priority and deepens your relationship with yourself.
The masculine enjoys time alone. The feminine part of you is about connecting with other people. Have you been isolating yourself lately?
Make sure you’re having quality time with the people you love or just give them a call or message for a catch-up. It’s good to listen but it’s also important to tell them about how you’re feeling and what’s going in your life too.
12. Explore Your Relationship with Your Mother
If you have resistance towards your mother this means you have resistance to the same feminine essence inside of you. This may have meant you embodied more masculine traits because you didn’t have a good relationship with the feminine at home.
Healing your relationship with your mother will help in bringing that feminine energy back into harmony. This may sound difficult but it doesn’t necessarily mean you have to reconnect with her.
It could come in the form of journaling, exploring what a great mother would look like to you, forgiving her for all her shortcoming and also appreciating what she did teach you.
Create your own definition of femininity and shed any damaging ideas you got from her.
